When we shut ourselves off from vulnerability, we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.
Brené Brown
I’ll be the first to admit it– being vulnerable is intimidating. Please know that I applaud you for considering how therapy may add value to your life and taking this step. My intention is to be your partner in a journey of self-exploration to tap into your full potential. I will encourage and challenge you to create your own meaning in life and express your most authentic self. I strongly believe that therapy can be fun and even humorous while also being warm and effective. We will explore the way you move through the world with a sense of curiosity and lightheartedness rather than judgment. My focus is on who people are, what they have to offer, and their strengths, rather than who they are not. I believe in the power of deep human connections; it is always an honor and privilege to be a part of your journey.
I empathize with the complexities of navigating life transitions, stress, and evolving relationships within our society. Given my own experiences, I’ve found my niche in working with college students, young adults, athletes, and peripartum individuals. I incorporate various therapeutic modalities and interventions into my practice including psychodynamic therapy, feminist theory, narrative therapy, and positive psychology. My utmost priority is to provide a comfortable, yet empowering space for self-exploration and expression.
